Little known fact... the "real" Sam Adams was actually a brewer. Talk about a great guy!

I just saw something on tv a little while ago that said this pub is the only place in the world where you can drink a Sam Adams and look at him at the same time.

See, this would be an acceptable statement if you're a crazy beer lover who's tried dozens of styles and breweries and decided that you're not a Sam fan.

But on the other hand, if someone only drinks crap like Budweiser and Coors Light and says they hate Sam Adams, it's probably just because they're pussies and can't handle drinking a beer with flavor.

I don't like the regular - but the Cream Stout and Honey Porter are damn good.

Agreed - my favorite brewery by far. First place I visited when I went to Portland.

Mocha Porter and Chocloate stout two of my favs. I like the chipotle ale - which is just over the top - can really only have one of those though.

  • I don't like Boston Lager, but I do enjoy the Summer Ale (no lemon).

I was at the brewery earlier this month. We tried a coffee stout. It was disgusting!

I like most of what I've had from Sam Adams. It's by far the best macro brewery in the U.S. There are several craft breweries that I really enjoy with Sierra Nevada being by far the most popular. Can't go wrong with a little Pale Ale.
I wish I was as fortunate, as fortunate as me.

Their seasonals are all really good, especially the Winter Lager.

Goose Island here in Chicago is great too, I love going there to eat and trying out all their special brews.

Oh, and one of my new favorite breweries is New Belgium. Their Fat Tire amber ale is fantastic.

it's the birthplace of the industrial revolution and women's rights in the workplace.
