So for those that do not know who Clayton E Liggett is, just know that he was eddie vedder's high school mentor and meant a lot to eddie's life and work. Listen to San Diego 07072006 and you'll understand.

Alright, I'm starting this thread because I just saw a teacher I had almost 10 years ago, my freshman honors english teacher, jeffery paul jones. i saw him and immediately became nervous, i looked up to this guy and i haven't seen him in almost 6 years. But i had to tell him that he was the best teacher I ever had, after going to college and reflecting on the people who were my teachers, mr jones was the teacher that planted the seed. He taught his students to think outside the box and to think for ourselves, something new that high school freshmen rarely ever hear. For those that have seen dead poet society, his students use to call him "Captain" he was that teacher basically. I had to tell him what his students that listened and were open to his teachings thought about him with the recent events going on his life. and for those that desire to dig deeper and regardless what you might find, this teacher taught me to look between the lines and look deeper.

So i urge you to do the same, thank the teacher that inspired you and help mold the person you are now. Teachers or at least good teachers deserve the recognition of their students so they can go on a continue being inspiration for the disgruntled youth.
