Hey I just flew up for two days. I am staying right by Pike Market. Been here before but looking for some hidden gems. Anyone have any advice on what to do or see on foot today/tonight? Love the Peroshky Peroshky, if anyone knows what I'm talking about lol
Thanks!
Thanks!

Come out to Moses Lake and keep me company for a week and a half while I'm at a job site out here until I get to go back to civilization!

If you like architecture or books, then check out the new downtown library. Even if you don't like books it's worth checking out.
Avoid tourist crap like the "underground city" tour. Experiance Music Project is worth checking out though.
If you have enough time (and the weather forecast calls for sun) I highly advise hopping on the ferry and go check out the olympic coast and rain forrests. You will need a solid couple days to make it worth while.
It's a pretty cool city with lots of stuff to do so have fun!
EDIT...the bus system works well downtown! mostly free ride zone....and a day pass is only $3.50....take a bus anywhere all day! The green busses on the water front are free (George Benson line)....they go down the water front (check out Ivar's clam bar/rest)....and through Pioneer Square.
*Edit* dont forget to go visit Easy Street Records.......
I still avidly watch Frasier, not only because its the best sitcom ever made but because I get to see Seattle when they are filming on location.
Thanks Jason, unfortunately just here til wed mornin, and I'm also the most un-trendy person you will ever meet... Thanks for the advice tho. The EMP is great, did that last time. Will try to check that library out tho. Thanks
I friken LOVE Piroshkis too. Nom nom nom.
Hmm what to do what to do..... get some water at The Virginia Inn... Virginia St and 2nd I think. ;-)
You should get out to Alki/West Seattle if you get a chance. Cool views.
I work over on 4th, if you make it over to Belltown, you can add me to list.
;-)
Hey Sennin, thanks. I went to see Oasis a few days ago... Noel sang it acoustic... Great quote...
I am def going to Mikes show tomorrow, that's why I flew up from LA
Mccormick is a block from where I'm staying. Sounds good.
Thankks for the list of stuff to do
West Seattle is where it's at!
Just checking into the hotel now lol what's up with the water at the Virginia Inn?
What's ur favorite peroshky? Also, there's a place down the block from them that has some awesome mac n cheese. Best I've ever had! Know that place?
Beechers? (mac n cheese)
Water at the Virigina Inn -- that's where the characters in Singles meet to get water.
I like the meat and cheese one myself but they are probably all good! It's a nice treat every now and then.
Too bad the water taxi is not running, it's a quick way to get to Alki.
Go to the pike place market for good peroshkies! I think the best stall is across the street from the market.
you're close to the ferries - if you've never been on one, they're kinda fun to ride around if you're bored. Good views when you're arriving back to Seattle w/ all the lights.
I personally loved the underground tour - but you have to get a good guide!
There are some neat places in Fremont...someone mentioned the troll, look for Lenin and the rocket too! http://www.roadsideamerica.com/story/9056
Perhaps I'll see you at the show tomorrow! Cheers
Ahhhh that's right... Citizen Dick... That would be fun to go see... And Beechers, YES! I think I am going to walk down there now for a peroshky and mac n cheese lol
And yup, that's the peroshky shop, right across from the market... I highly recommend them!!! Highllyyyy
My neighbor worked for Beechers... yum!
That's the address for the Singles apartment.
