It felt great too! I had some stuff to do....including looking for another job.

There is always that ackward arrival back to work the next day.... but I think I've found a new direction since my trip to CA. I needed to hit the reset button in the worst way :)

So, any other slackers out there today?

Perhaps thats part of my problem. I am a pre-school teacher, so there is no way for me to slack at work....ever.

I just feel a bit burned out at the moment.

I would love a mental health day! I'm saving mine for the summer. It gets very busy at the end of the semester...so any days off are frowned upon. Once the students are out of here I can take a day here and there without feeling too badly. Enjoy your day :)

Mondays have become a tad predictable for me. I'm thinking Tuesday this week...

Absolutely!! With the epic weather, the Marathon, Comm Ave keg party's and the Red Sox win today....it does not get any better in Boston. Celtics won last night and let's hope the Boston Bruins can complete an a perfect long weekend.

Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
    And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green

    Yeah,
Getting a new job and asking for time off from the get go is not a good first impression. Unless the boss is a PJ fanatic too. :p

Good for you~ I need one of those kinds of jobs. :) Anything that would pay say, in the low 40's (atleast)...even that would be a raise for me.... its not hard to improve on a teachers salary :)

good luck! I found myself doing work today anyway, just not with the actual kids (I think I spend 10 hours a week preparing things for the kids outside of my 45+ hour work week).

And now I am bored. Applied for about 10 jobs today, but now I need the interaction with people.

I watched the first two seasons of "The Office" on DVD while I should've been conducting interviews or at least setting them up. One editor called three times today to find out the status of my stories. Caller ID is wonderful.
