It felt great too! I had some stuff to do....including looking for another job.
There is always that ackward arrival back to work the next day.... but I think I've found a new direction since my trip to CA. I needed to hit the reset button in the worst way
So, any other slackers out there today?

I'm just so ready for Spring and summer....three more weeks and my semester is done!!
plus i would rather save those "sick days "
for the summer
although i was here all morning,,went to the dentist for 1 1'2 hours
then just woke up from a 45 minute nap.... busy day
Perhaps thats part of my problem. I am a pre-school teacher, so there is no way for me to slack at work....ever.
I just feel a bit burned out at the moment.
i feel ya
when u need a day ,,u have to go for it (nothing wrong with that)

Ya, I have figured a few things out, now I just have to take action.
(I hope you are feeling a bit better today by the way)
Are you kidding me?
Absolutely!! With the epic weather, the Marathon, Comm Ave keg party's and the Red Sox win today....it does not get any better in Boston. Celtics won last night and let's hope the Boston Bruins can complete an a perfect long weekend.
oh thanks, nothing went away, but i'm slowly dealing with it

i haven't even been outside.... thats the one bummer about my slacker day.
I do plan on getting the dogs out for a nice long walk though.

i would have gone back to work today but by their own rules i have to be out over 3 calendar days in order to be excused. stupid employers. or is it the FMLA law? no matter. i'll just sit back and enjoy!
As she slams the door in his drunken face
And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green

Good point.... completely solid actually. I do have a serious craving for some msg pj love in the near future.
Getting a new job and asking for time off from the get go is not a good first impression. Unless the boss is a PJ fanatic too.

gets to me every time
It only hurts me, I have work to do no matter what.
But recently, ive been busting my ass Tues-Thurs so I can go easy mon and friday.
But Ive got a lot of work to do before 6/19!!!!!!
good luck! I found myself doing work today anyway, just not with the actual kids (I think I spend 10 hours a week preparing things for the kids outside of my 45+ hour work week).
And now I am bored. Applied for about 10 jobs today, but now I need the interaction with people.
