What makes a person Eclectic?

Inspired by the "radiohead rocks" thread in "other music."
I've seen the same argument played out twice now in the Pit on two separate topics, so I'm now curious......
What could appropriately go at the end of the following statement:
"You are ecletic, or are perceived as desperately trying to be eclectic, if you..."
I'll start....
"...are a fan of radiohead."
"...love and respect vinyl records."
(for the record, I fall into both of the above categories)

I made the assumption in the other thread also that you're probably viewed as eclectic if you're a fan of Bjork.
