so was my son who is 8. I didn't try them b/c I try and keep my junk intake low, but he wasn't thrilled with them at all.

  • I try to diet most of the time, but yesterday was Easter and for whatever reason there were 2 packages of these in my house. I've never seen them before in my life, and I was not dissapointed.

They are literally cream-filled chocolate cakes, resembling Oreo's.

Are they better than cookie sandwiches?

Thanks Tish. Lately I have been noticing exactly that concept for cat food (of all things) as well. I was reading that cat breeders have to feed cats raw food diets or they stop breeding after some generations. Surprisingly many vets balk at feeding raw food to pets. Vets make money from sick pets, as do doctors from humans, so I figure if they do it to people all the time (supermarket junk)....god help the animals.

There is so much garbage at the supermarket....it's like wading through a vast ocean of brightly packaged junk.

I try to stick to the rule of never buy anything that comes in a box.

    I'll give it a read.

Stick to the outsides of your designed supermarket to find the fresh. Avoid cans, too!
  • really?

I saw them in the market the other day
and thought that can't be good

    hmm might have to try

Thanks. :) Don't really think they'd be my kinda thing. Not being a fan of Oreos. Mushy Oreos wouldn't really do it for me. Glad you enjoyed though. :)

I tend to like salty snacks, but I get a craving for sweet stuff every once in a while.

I seriously devoured so many oreos when I was pregnant that I thought I'd never want another one again...lol. But, I still like oreo blizzards (go figure, lol) so I'll have to give the cakesters a try next time I want some sugar.

I would like to kill the marketing fuck stain who came up with the name "Cakester" The reason kids are so bloody fat these days is because of products (poison) like this that are marketed towards children.
  • Can somebody from New England tell me if these are like Whoopie Pies? I saw them in the grocery yesterday, along with Nilla Cakesters, and my wife said, look massed produced Whoopie Pies. While they probably won't come close to Whoopie Pies, they would be a quick fix for me away from home.
