I think he is saying he hopes there is a ban so he doesn't have to be around smoke.

We do and it is great. :)

So they don't let you smoke anything in the bars? In Idaho we're only allowed to smoke crack and heroin.

Yeah. I have bad allergies. I couldn't go to bars before the smoking ban because I wasn't 21, so I got spoiled as I was used to going to bars that didn't allow smoking. But then I lived in Ireland for a bit and when I would wake up the next morning I would have a huge knot in my throat and the worst sinus headache (not just hangover headache hehe). So I was thrilled when they passed it there too. :)

    Enjoy your weekend :)

Actually... California has a smoking ban in California. If you want to have a cigarette, you need to step into Nevada.
    Thank You.

Actually... it depends on what type of structure you live in.
Like, my friend who lives in a condo... her downstairs neighbor smokes in his patio because he doesn't want his place to smell like cigarettes. The smokes goes right up and into her bedroom window. Cold nights are not a problem... but, when the temperatures hit the 90s... well, at least you can understand that there are some conditions that exist that justifies the ban, right?

Yes... you are right. It's more of a consideration thing on behalf of the neighbor. If he wants to smoke, he should remain indoors and smoke up his own place. But, he doesn't. And I don't think the Homeowner's Association has the authority to pass such a code... or if they do... it's only on paper because there is no enforcement or penalty for violations.

i agree....he should have more consideration for his neighbors...if he doesn't like the smoke smell in his house why should others have to bear it.....and hoa's have done some wacky things before so i wouldn't put it pass them to try it ;)

Have you ever lived in a condo???

I can smell what my neighbors are cooking ALL the time. You don't think if he smoked in his condo that the smell wouldn't drift up and around the whole building?

Yeah, it would. That's why we don't smoke inside ours.

Honestly!! There should be a primer for out-of-staters.
    Don't call it Cali.
It's not "the left coast" (so queer).
It's "San Francisco" not "Frisco" or "San Fran."

In Davis, CA smoking is pretty much banned everywhere except your own home. And maybe your own backyard. I think that if you are smoking in the car the windows must be rolled up. There is no smoking in any public or privately owned outdoor places and no smoking withing 25 feet of public exposure.
I really screwed that up. I really Schruted it.
