Just a warning to all you thinking of buying a new toy with one of those 6 months/1 year no finance charges.

1. they will charge you back interest if you don't pay it off during the promo period

2. somewhere in some fine print it will say some rate like 23%!!

so ask your salesperson what rates it defaults to. I knew I had a grace period, but thought it'd be at my card rate for the acrued interest.....almost 1000 bucks in interest later I realize I was ripped off! Duped into thinking it was a good deal. I never would have bought it under those arrangments if I had known.

So think about it, you may get the cool ass HD tv(and it is fucking Sweet), but you'll be paying an extra 1000 bucks on the pricetag if you are not careful, so tack that to what you are paying andf then realize the price flat out sucks. Oh yeah they will throw in your warranty extensions and service plans too

I guess the old saying if it looks too good to be true it usually is, is dead on.

the other saying is he who buys a HD tv with promo rates is a jackass- that is true too.

Save up and buy it with cash

i already knew all that - do all my big buys with promos like this

just work out how much per payday you need to make to have it paid off in the promo time, and stick to it - hey presto - no interest.

    pretty simple really
