Great movie! Better book. If you've ever read the book and enjoyed it, I highly, highly suggest reading Jonathon Safran Foer's other book Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close. I liked it even more than Everything is Illuminated.

You don't have to feel bad. Most people haven't read it. It's every bit as quirky and enjoyable as the movie, though, so if you enjoyed the movie you would surely enjoy the book.

this book and the other you talked about I will be reading very shortly....if they are anything like the movie I'm sure I'll love them. The quirkiness and the sadness wrapped together in such a strange package just draws you in.

so this may sound like an unlikely story....but i pulled a notebook out of a drawer to write the name of the other book down....and on the notebook was Jonathon Safran Foer's name and "everything is illuminated" BOOK written in MY handwriting ....it must be from a long time ago since i didn't recall that it was a book and because I have the times for the tv series Rome written next to it.

just cracked me up and thought I'd share:)

I missed it in the theater's but was sick earlier this year and caught it on HBO (how can I pass up a story so tied into my heritage). It was one of the most incredible experiences of movie watching I ever had.

It was like watching a fairy tale. The cinematography was outstanding at the acting was fantastic.

Who could forget Sammy Davis Jr Jr.
