Decent Wii Games

I won a Nintendo Wii back in February at a Flyers' game and have not really played it much in the last 6 months. Mainly because I also have a PS3 and usually play that.

I've been looking to pick up Mario Kart, but everywhere is sold out still. Does anyone have any suggestions on decent games for the Wii? I'm pretty open to various types of games.

Currently, I have Resident Evil 4, Zelda, and Wii Sports.

Thanks for any suggestions!

  • You've got one of the best in RE4. I would say any of those are the best. (Resident Evil games)

I play with my girlfriend so I have lots of party type games. Although another shooter I like is House of the Dead (straight from the arcade and it has both 2 and 3)
    9/7/98, 8/3/00, 9/4/00, 4/15/03, 7/1/03, 9/28/04, 9/29/04, 5/24/06, 5/25/06, 6/17/08, 6/22/08, 6/28/08, 6/30/08, 5/17/10, 10/15/13, 10/16/13.
  • The games that my teenage daughter and my husband have spent most time playing and love are:

Super Mario Galaxy - lots of fun to watch also
The Star Wars Lego one - not sure of the name but it's lots of fun
Metroid Prime - although my daughter didn't like this one so much

We recently borrowed No More Heroes and it is pretty cool also.

That said, if he's already got a PS3...I'd get Tiger Woods for that instead.

Mario Galaxy and Mario Kart are the two I enjoy the most.

Super Mario Galaxy is superb. It is so much fun - no matter what type of gamer you are.

Especially if you are a touch nostalgic to the original Super Mario.

    FANTASTIC GAME

Thanks everyone for their suggestions. I think I will pick up Super Mario Galaxy this weekend. Still amazing that Mario Kart is sold out everywhere!

Has anyone purchased any golf games for the Wii? I get the feeling that Tiger Woods would be too complicated/realistic for my liking. I know there are 3 or 4 other ones out there, any good? I like the golf on Wii Sports, but its too short, and a tad too simple, but I'm looking for something similar.

    Thanks again!

Trust me, if you want a golf game wait for the new Tiger Woods to come out for PS3. Yeah, you swing your controller on the Wii version but the PS3 version is 100x better!

Super Swing Golf BLOWS! Do not get that. So far Wii sports has the best golf I've seen.

  • I love Mario Galaxy! :) I also really like Wario Smooth Moves... though not everyone likes it. It's pretty weird but really fun.

smooth moves is extremely addictive. we borrowed it from my 11 year old's friend about 2 months ago. we still have it. but to be fair, we let him borrow wii play (i was addicted to 'find mii' when we first bought that one).
