Not at all. I started watching sports around the age of 4 with my dad. Kansas was always on tv for whatever reason and I was little and liked their logo I guess because as long as I can remember I have loved Kansas. To call me a front runner is kind of ignorant because I have been a Jayhawk fan for more bad times than good (first round losses to Bucknell and Bradley), blowing that huge lead to Arizona back in '03, losing to Syracuse in the finals...I've probably seen more Kansas basketball games over the past 10 years than people that actually live in Kansas. As for the Giants, there are a ton of Giants fans in Connecticut. Just in case your wondering I'm also a Blue Jays fan in baseball. Basically I started watching at such a young age I never really picked up the concept of rooting for the local team. I will admit that its not that convenient having to drop so much money on mlb extra innings, and all those tv services you have to pay for to see my teams. Whatever, its fun rooting for a team that no one else likes.

However I will say that my favorite team in all of sports is Liverpool FC. You guys should really give soccer a try. It's honestly the best sport once you get into it.

BTW if I was a front runner/bandwagoner/whatever you want to call it I would probably like the Pats, Celtics, and Red Sox/Yankees seeing as how I live in New England and would have a legitmate excuse to like those teams. However

If the Gunners score at Anfield today your team is toast.

2-1 for the Reds. Late winner from Gerrard.
  • Well I give soccer a try. Seeing as the Bolton Wanderers are my team. Hard to avoid as I was born there.

Liverpool is one of the most decorated teams in Europe.

Kansas ALWAYS makes the tourney, so I do not feel that getting knocked out early is a problem as there is always next year.

The Giants have won 3 Super Bowls and have probably always been playoff contenders in your lifetime.

I get the connections, but you picked teams that were on TV which equals popular and winning. I mean Liverpool is better than Man U, but I prefer the local route to sports fandom. To each his own.

You're ok in my book you like my favorite sport, and like I said Liverpool is better than Man U. You seem an honest fan of your teams, but they are all winners.

I'm an absolutely massive Liverpool fan but to say they are better than Manure is very questionable. We have won more league titles and trophies but in recent years MANU has been the better team. We haven't won the league since 1990 I believe which would make me 2 years old.

This is the only bad thing...I would never have been called a band wagon fan. The Giants were either terrible or choking in big games when they were decent (49ers playoff game for example), the Blue Jays will never win anything again...Kansas was the joke of the country with their 1st round exits. Lol funny how stuff works out sometimes.

Oh and I'm a Liverpool fan because a relative randomly picked me up a Robbie Fowler shirt while on vacation in England. DIdn't know too much about soccer/football at the time and have loved them ever since.

If you think about it though, Kansas is the only team I could be called a front runner for...the Giants are local and if I was a front runner I would be a Manure or Chelski fan.

LOL I meant that I respect a Liverpool fan more than a Man Yoo fan. I cannot stand Man United. The hatred runs deep in my blood. I get your reasons, and like I said you seem to be an honest fan of all of your teams. It's just that none of them sucked when you picked them up. Oh, as a Skins fan I happen to know that the Giants were the shit in the 80's and decent in the 90's before becoming much better in 2000.

It's honest I get you, but I think you see why people will call you a frontrunner sometimes. ;)
