  • Great book. The plot was interesting and seeing he keeps jumping through time it doesn't get boring.

Just read it last summer. Good read. :)
I still want you all to "take care"--I am just damn tired of typing it.

It's great. Very accessible and inordinately thought-provoking for such a short read.

Isn't it more or less required reading for American teenagers? I still rate it as one of my all time favorite novels.

It's a pretty popular book, I'm surprised you haven't heard of it. It was required in my English class.

Anyways, it's pretty weird... but it can be very interesting when the topic of certain future events come up.

I read it last winter and thought it was very good. I made the mistake of reading it in spurts over about 6 weeks. I kept having to go back and re-read sections to figure out what the hell was going on. Just read it in a few days and it should be very enjoyable.
I wish I was as fortunate, as fortunate as me.

  • I read this a couple of years back, really liked it but can't remember much of it. I may just have to give it another read now.

One of the all-time great American novels. Somehow turns the atrocities of war into something so absurd you can't help but laugh.

    So it goes...

Everyone should also read, "A Man Without a Country"

  • I don't read all that often, but I read this book in HS and it is still one of the best books I have ever read. After I read it I picked up a few other Vonnegut books, also very good reads.

You will not be disappointed with Slaughterhouse Five

I read it and loved it.

I gave it to my little brother when he was 15 to read as a christmas present. He said i never knew getting a book for christmas could turn out to be so cool.

    It is very good.

It's a good read but i don't think it's as good as people think. There are a lot more funnier, intelligent books out there but hey it's all about opinions isn't it? But yeah you will enjoy it.

It was a great book, but if you like Slaughterhouse Five then you have to read Cat's Cradle. It was by far better than Slaughterhouse Five.

Slaughterhouse-Five was one of the books they wanted to burn in the fictional town in Footloose, so you know it's got to be good!

In the real world, Slaughterhouse-Five often if not always made the list of the 100 Most Challenged Books--as determined by the American Library Association (another sign that it's a quality book!)

Personally, I've never been disappointed by Vonnegut. In the wake of his death last year, I read God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater--easily one of his best.

He was dark and incandescent, full of life and angst, had a rich appreciation of history, and was a national treasure--a Mark Twain for the Twentieth Century.

    Enjoy!

  • Very good place to start with Kurt Vonnegut books. Just make sure you don't stop after this one!
