Anyone here read it? I'm reading it now, just for fun. I'm about half way through, if that. It's a little slow, but I'm really impressed by it's style and it's feel.

    I read it at the worst possible time to read it in high school - a second-semester senior that had already been accepted to college.

    I read it in High School also. Can't remember too much, but I liked it at the time. If you like the Grapes of Wrath, definitely read East of Eden by Steinbeck. Probably my favorite book of all time!

    I read it a few months ago (I've read a bunch of Steinbeck in the past year). I thought it was incredible. Prior to reading it, I read a non-fiction book about the dustbowl era called "The Worst Hardest Time" and it really tied things together.

    I read it back in High School and i remember really really really liking it.

    One of hte few books i read that i got into.
