I'm visiting my brother in NorCal this weekend. We're going to a Sac Kings bball game tonight. Just seeing if anyone had any ideas for things to do or some local bars/eateries we should check out while in Sac.

Thanks in advance!

Unless you like musuems or are gay, sacramento doesn't have a whole lot to offer. There's a lot of nightclubs/bars in a part of town known as the "Velvet District", but you can probably imagine what type of atmosphere can be found there.
  • I take my kids to Old Town Sacramento -- it has an old West type of feel there, but the kiddies prefer the railroad museum there. There's some good eats and bars around J Street area, but San Francisco is only about 90 minutes away, Wine Country is about an hour away, Lake Tahoe (and we just got some fresh powder!!!) is about 90 minutes away. Enjoy!
    Rock on!
