let me first state that i hate reality shows....if they were all taken off the air today it would bother me at all....having said that....
i love this show  second season started last week and frankly i could watch gary busey be insane all day he thinks he is there to "help"....he doesn't realize he is in treatment
at the same time the show is so sad....steven adler is fucked up....his mother kicked him out of the house at 11...she chose her boyfriend over him.....rodney king doesn't seem to wanna talk about the beatings....
i do feel weird watching though....watching people at their lowest for my entertainment is a little sleezy....at the same time i hope showing their rehab it will help people come clean or not start at all

it's fabulous...I like to drink wine and watch as these preening has beens destroy what little shred of a hint of dignity they may be clinging to...it's so delightful.
that being said, I hate reality shows of people that i don't know...trying very hard to get that glimmer of "reality celebrity" so that they can milk their public time for all it's worth...also, hate when people compete for nonsensical crap.
And the last "Project Runway" was so horrible, I stopped watching...I used to like the designs, but this year...none of those people should have been in the final 4...it was just horrible.
*did you watch the first season of Celeb Rehab? I LOVED watching that dude from "Taxi" totally disintegrate...for the cameras. always for the cameras.
did i?? hells yeah....and jeff is back for season 2!! and his loser/enabler girlfriend is in the same rehab but not on the show
i too enjoy the show with some wine and hippie lettuce.....it seems apropos

I'm never as good as when you're there.........
:( sorry about the ex...
i watch it with a friend who has been in recovery for over 10 years....he and i laugh at the excuses and amount of denial that they're in....
i've never heard of this show before reading this, but it sounds absolutely disgusting. shame on you all.
See These Bones
It's a serious show. Kind of like Intervention. It's actually pretty sad.

you're preaching to the choir my friend. I'm a faithfull Al-Anon'er.
As his wife, Those 12 steps helped me a million times over!
and the SERENITY PRAYER pretty much keeps me on the level every day of my life!

He is a great guy....he performed at my birthday party a few years back!
So very true!!! I've been thru the 12 steps of Al-Anon and I've been there with the addict/alcoholic (side by side) and the excuses are amazing.........
I'm glad your friend can laugh at it, show's a lot of growth in his recovery

didn't know that....i like bob.....and shelly.....having addicts as counselors is a big plus
The executive producer is Dr. Drew Pinsky. He's actually a pretty impressive addiction specialist, and I really believe that this kind of show does some good. It's not as exploitative as people are making it out to be. My ex was an addict and I watch this show because it reinforces how far I have come in my life. It's actually a pretty well done show, in my opinion.
Intervention is another show that shows soem pretty sad situations. Some people are helped by shows like these.
