nowadays my main form of transport M-F is my own two feet and the LIRR. :) love it! when at home and need to get around: 1995 plymouth neon. only my 2nd car ever, bought it brand-new...and has less than 65K miles on it. now with my new work commute, i may end up having the car for another 10 years, haha. it's actually improved with age and still looks in good shape, was a bit of a lemon around year 4.....and it is so cheap to hold onto b/c of it's age, so insurance is nothing, rarely fill it up...so it's all good. hubby has a brand new nissan versa, great car! and i've told him to use my neon when the weather is absolute shit....keep the versa garaged and nice, and use/abuse the older car. it's all good! :)

*oops, just realized...his 'brand new' car, isn't actually anymore, haha. got it in april 2007. :D
    Stay with me...

2004 Dodge Ram, 4 door, 4 wheel drive. I love driving a truck, but it drinks too much gas. It will be paid off next month so I am looking at more practical rides, but I must have room for one husband and four dogs which is a limiting factor. I thought about the Toyota FJ, Subaru Outback. I love the Mazda CX7 and CX9, but I think it is too small.

For my daily commute (70 miles one way) I drive an '06 Hyundai Tiburon SE. It gets decent gas milage, has a torque"Y" V6, and a 6-speed trans.

But the car that I consider "my car" is my Pontiac Trans Am, black on black, 383 stroked motor, 12-bolt rear end, and the list goes on. Pretty much only a track car, but every now and then I'll get brave and drive it on the streets. The 10' slicks and skinnies up front usually get cops attention real quick though.

Oh yeah - it gets between 5-6 mpg and uses 105 octane, so no driving it to work.

  • an old one :).

though saying I "drive" it is a bit of a stretch. It mostly just sits around and collects parking tickets.
  • An 07 Nissan Versa Hatchback.
    I like little cars.
  • I have a 2004 Saturn Ion with just about every option. Then I have the winter beater car, a 1998 Plymouth Neon, basic model, power nothing and a stick shift. I don't even have hubcaps on it. It's the winter beater car. But, it is purple, so that kicks ass. Oh yeah, and it was free.

LOL I used to live out in Waltham so, I know the red line quite well. I Like the green line. My girlfriend is like you, so we tend to see things on the green line only, cause taking the red takes too long.

I always liked the red line the best.

2007 Honda Civic Hybrid. Nicknamed 'Liberal Guilt' as it (somewhat) offsets my wife's Expedition.
"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.
