im going to be travelling across northern spain in a months time, doing the Camino Trail, driving from Belgium, through France to northern Spain and walking west ....and the Bull Run is something id love to go to, and i just looked into it tonite and realised its on the exact week im going to be in that area.

SOoooo....
Has anyone ever gone to the Bull-Run/go regularly?
Just wondering of any opinions of the event itself and the festival? worth the hype and time?

you do know that's a really cruel "sport", right? I mean, have fun and all...but wouldn't you have a better time hucking tomatoes at people you don't know - like, really PELTING them?

And yes, I realize that someone is going to say that's cruel to the tomatoes...hahahaha...

Anyway, Jordy - if you do the running of the bulls, wear a jockstrap/cup and butt protection - and BE SAFE!

thanks for the very good advice ! :) protect the goods. not something i had thought of!

im not a big fan of animal-cruelty factor itself, but the festival in the town would be the main reason, just to see the whole spectacle, and maybe if i can, ill set the bulls free. :) im thinking of going to the tomatina too (its a must do alright!) but its not till end of August....

    Hey Jordy. :)

I know this is a cultural thing in Spain but I'm not really a fan of it myself, but I guess you can decide that for yourself. :)

If you're going to be in the South of France in The Camargue area, I can thoroughly recommend the bloodless bullfighting of the Carmaguese. The bulls are the heroes and they even have statues in their honor. The bulls are not harmed at the event and it really is an amazing spectacle to participate in. :)
    NOPE!!!
