Man, these Asian players make it really tough for cheap teams to compete for their services. Unlike Latin American players teams can get on the cheap for promising young talent, these guys put in their time in the Asian professional leagues and then must be bought out of their contracts for big bucks (Ichiro, Dice-K, and Fukudome). I would love for the Buccos to get a great Asian player so they could drum up some interest for more than their popular "P" hats, but with the, ahem, frugal ownership it ain't gonna happen.
