my dad can walk on a walker by himself now! He was scooting around in the nursing home for a little bit! He was all showing off! Go Pops!

That is fantastic!!! I'm so happy for you guys!! I'll bet this is a huge weight lifted off of his shoulders! Do you notice a change in his outlook?
He seemed a little bit happier today but he's worried about me and my brother.
He always thinks about other people before himself.
Plus we're trying to get him into a nursing home closer to where he lives in Queens.
but yea he did seem a little bit happier. He wanted to 'show off' Hee hee!

That is so cool. I'm sure that as he gets around better and better he will realize how much more independence he has and he is bound to feel better emotionally. And that's so cute that he wanted to show off!
Thanks. yeah it will be a slow process but that's a big step! (no pun intended!)

I was thinking today during class, how it would feel to lose much of your strength. I mean for one not being able to walk, but having to have someone help you get up. You wouldn't be able to help others like you could and you would see all those 'hot-shot' pre-teen boys that could beat you up if they wanted but you still have that mentality. Must truly be sad.
i do have a few word of advice though, that i would rather not post.
i dont want to just push them on you though.
so pm if ya' want.
i've been through this b4.
if not , i understand.
but , really, thats great!!!!!!!!!
ill keep you and pops in my thoughts for sure!
