Anyone else get stuffy....

Is it just me, or does anyone else get stuffy when they have a drink or two...? Sometimes it does not affect me, but generally I get so stuffy I cannot breathe through my nose at all, and I have about an hour of sneezing...Does not matter if it is beer, wine or hard alcohol...

uhhhhh...it is only 7:00 pm and I am only two drinks in and I am done....

    I don't recall being stuffy, but if I drink a few, I get very rosy cheeked, like a couple of other people around here if I remember correctly! :D

    Perhaps you're allergic somehow? Or the alcohol affects your immune system?

    It must be some kind of allergy... but it is strange that sometimes it does not make me stuffy at all....Oh well, life could be worse!

    My friend gets stuffed up when she drinks beer. She thinks she may have a slight allergy to one of its ingredients. She's allergic to dairy and chocolate, which also leaves her stuffy and sneezy.

    I get asthma sometimes from drinking coke, like especially if I drink it while eating Chinese.

    And I can't drink a lot of heavy red wines anymore. :( coz they upset my nervous system.

    you could make a note of when it happens, see if there's a pattern? :)

    Coke & Chinese...that sounds a little more interesting than my problem! Maybe it is an OD of MSG & sugar :)

    It's actually the opposite for me. I'm almost always stuffy (sinus problems), but when I drink I can usually breathe better.
    The only people we should try to get even with...
    ...are those who've helped us.

    I am almost always a bit stuffy after a few drinks. I have no idea why, I've just always been like that. Also have a slight allergy to dairy as well....not sure if there's a connection, but another poster mentioned a dairy allergy. Who knows?!

    When I read the title and the first sentence I thought you meant stuffy as in uptight and arrogant. I was gonna say that totally describes me when I drink!!! Come to think of it, that describes me sober as well. Hmm. But to the coughing/sneezing bit, no, doesn't happen to me. :D

    i don't... but I have 2 friends that do... I have no clue why... but I usually just tell'em to drink another when they start to mention it...

    No smoke filled bars here - it is illegal to smoke in public buildings here...And I do not smoke, so....

    i get stuffy too, after a couple beers in a smoke filled bar, but i also smoke too. only at bars though, if i drink and smoke at a friend's place i never get stuffy. i am a little lactose intolerant and when i drink wine i get really hot. who knows...i'm weird
