Thunder Storm over China

I just stood at my window about 30 mins ago filming a storm. Check these pics out of the lightning licking this city...

    I just had my camera on movie mode and then used Vista's 'snipping tool' to copy the still images from the film. It's amazing the size and brightness of the flash when the lightning first hits nearby. I wonder whether it would damage your eyes if you happened to be looking at that exact spot when it struck?

    Also, I wouldn't mind going to the top of that building and seeing what it left behind.

    Cool. I used to love watching the storms at home over the ocean. But man since I have moved to Calgary I have seen some amazing lightning. They have some crazy weather here.
