I was just listening to the Bonnaroo boot and I had a horrible/morbid thought about Ed dying.
It made me think of how most of the great ones go early. Thanks fuck he's still here with us. I hope he outlives me.

    I hear ya.

I hate the thought that one day PJ will no longer exist and the boys will part ways with the mortal world... It actually upsets me... but yeah, good point, thank god he hasn't left us too early :)
Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.

He survived all the bullshit that went with being the "voice of a generation" during the 90's so my guess is he's gonna outlive us all...
I smile, but who am I kidding...

Plus all of his high flying stunting onstage. He should really hire a double.

Well if he falls into a Lion's Den, a lot of us would jump in after him.

(If you haven't seen this thread - it's rediculous)

I thought about that at Pistoia when he climbed up the scaffolding. I thought "Be careful man, be very fucking careful!"

All this talk about Eddie dying is depressing me, but I do agree he should stop or try to cut down the smoking, drinking, and definitely stop jumping around the way he does. It would be really said if he ended up brain dead or paralyzed.

im sure he knows what hes doing. and if not, well its his life. :)

Actually, I wouldn't suggest any of these things to him. To suggest he give up drinking and smoking isn't far off suggesting he give up rock 'n roll e.t.c.

Again at the risk of sounding morbid - I just think it would be almost typical if he snuffed it in some bland, pointless kind of way. You know, Bill Hicks isn't here anymore. Keith Moon. e.t.c. I just hope he doesn't follow suit.

O.k. I got the thought off my chest, that's all. Sorry if I lowered the tone. :guilty look:
