I have seen people in europe, asia, africa and south america wearing yankee hats, but have never seen anyone ever wearing a united shirt.

I've seen many Man U shirts here. I happen to know they are giants in Asia as they tour there every year. They are the most popular brand in sports. Soccer is the world's game, and they along with Real Madrid are the 2 most popular teams in the most popular sport.

That's not true. I can't speak for other parts of the country, but the Sox have always been big in Philly because of Philly and Boston's unified hatred of New York sports teams.

On ESPN Radio today they were saying how this utter nonsense how ESPN supposedly started Red Sox Nation. They said yes they may have played up the Sox/Yanks games and rivalry, however starting up Red Sox Nation is nonsense.
