I thought Syriana was one of the best espionage movies I had ever seen. Not all people feel that way, though. Most people thought it was too "convoluted." It's one of those movies that require the viewer to pay close attention.

3:10 to Yuma is a good shoot 'em up cowboy action flick.

Why do you hate to say it? Iñárritu's films are great.

"Breach" is interesting if you're interested in true-to-life espionage movies. It's a very accurate depiction of the events surrounding the investigation and arrest of the most damaging mole in US history.

To get him to trust somebody that the FBI had sent to spy on him, the FBI paired him up with a rookie, trainee agent who actually wasn't even a full-fledged agent.

The mole, brilliantly played by Chris Cooper, never suspected that the FBI would send a trainee to spy on him.

The problem is that the movie is too real-to-life, and so it lacks all of the hollywood dramatics such as explosions, chase scenes, ..etc.

Although the acting is decent all around, Chris Cooper's depth of character is what really carries the movie. Rather than for the allure of the money or disdain for the West, it's clear to see that the Chris Cooper character's warped personality is intrigued most of all by the act of being a sneaky bastard, an artform which he perfected through years of being a high-ranking spy master during the cold war.

Also...the mole is deeply religious in this movie. I think that's what I like most of all about it. It just goes to show that religion is a doo-doo belief system.

Yeah but that's probably more to do with his choices rather than his acting. Give him a good film and he can do the job. I hear the Assassination of Jesse James by the coward Robert Ford is also excellent.

Actors have a responsibility to make the right choices.

The Last Samurai was also a pretty decent movie. I'm sure you've already seen it.

I remember when it was out in theaters I saw a Last Samurai coloring book at the grocery store. I was like WTF? It is not even close to being a children's movie. Society has really taken a turn in a strange direction.

Then again, I remember Rambo lunch boxes when I was a kid. Looking back, I think WTF?
