I've always been fascinated with Alaska and Machu Picchu since I was a kid. Saw Alaska a few years ago and it was amazing so Machu Picchu is probably tops on my list. Then probably Octoberfest in Germany.
I came into this thread to say Machu Picchu
Also I'd love to see rural China.
"I remember one night at Muzdalifa with nothing but the sky overhead, I lay awake amid sleeping Muslim brothers and I learned that pilgrims from every land — every colour, and class, and rank; high officials and the beggar alike — all snored in the same language"

'We're learning songs for baby Jesus' birthday. His mum and dad were Merry and Joseph. He had a bed made of clay and the three kings bought him Gold, Frankenstein and Merv as presents.'
yep.........i have the scuba/repelling gear and from the sounds of it, i would assume you have the fireworks, no?
if we combine our screen names......it makes for a sentence that formulates a question for our "gang".
after the damn is gone............."eyedclaar, ajedigecko did it" or "ajedigecko did it, eyedclaar"
Hehe. I'm sure I could come up with something big and colorful.
I had a chance as a younger man to meet the real Hayduke, but I had just started reading Abbey so I elected to go camping that weekend instead of attending his speech. A good friend of mine went and told me all about it. I've been kicking myself for the last 15 years. Hayduke's books are stellar as well. Walking it Off and The Grizzly Years are both great reads.

I used to have 3 places I wanted to see before I died:
Heidelberg, Germany
York, England
St. Petersburg, Russia
I've been to Heidelberg and it's one of my happiest memories so now I have the other 2 left.
But I also visited Barbados just for a day in 2002 while on a cruise. We went to a beauty spot at the highest point of the island and stayed about an hour. It was so pretty and peaceful that I promised myself I'd go back again someday.
And that too... but enough... I don't want to diveulge too much.

OH! ONE THING I NEED to witness is my Rangers winning a cup at the garden..I was in Greece in the Army when they won in 94 and I missed it all so I wanna be the next one who can now die in peace..after all these yrs of being a diehard they OWE ME!

I've always wanted to see Christ the Redeemer and San Iguazu Falls. Going to South America for 6 months in September, so it's gonna be a dream come true. Ridiculously excited, doesn't seem real that I'll be in Rio in less than 2 months!

What I would like to see before I die is when people stop hiding behind false names and just be decent instead of trying to be overdramatic and just plain crazy.
Am I asking too much?
For this board to not be a soap opera?
Cause I'm broken when I'm lonesome
And I don't feel right when you're gone away
