Fuck Brady, Fuck the Patriots, and Fuck the Eagles.
I changed my mind....eagles go 3-13.
GO GIANTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The World Champion New York Football Giants!!!!!!
Hey, let me ask Eagles fans something, for real. Which opponent in the NFC East do you hate the most? I as a Giant fan in my 30's hate the Eagles. My father and the guys at work who are older than 50 dispise the Cowboys. The Redskins....eh..just an opponent.
for me, it's dallas. second is washington simply because of their name. i enjoy giants / eagles games. i'll actually watch the giants sometimes when philly is not playing. they've had some players over the years that i've liked...the other two...not so much.
oh, and congratulations on a win like that can never be late...so congrats once again on the super bowl win. that was awesome.

you are making it real hard to hate you....
Thanks for answering.
it was definately a fun season. Maybe someday the Eagles will know what its like....well, maybe not.
it doesnt seem the Eagles have recently had an offense that was "strong" and "powerful". They dont scare you. Come to think of it, have they ever?
Their D, thats another story. Thats what keeps them in games.

yeah, it's been a bit frustrating over the years because they have had some fun offensive sides...some would say pass happy, i guess. not particularly strong, as you said, but the offensive lines are usually pretty good. a guy like brian westbrook would be such a huge weapon with just a couple of more threats. i'm hoping jackson, as petrocs mentioned, becomes one of those threats at WR that we need this year. it's already amazing what westbrook he has been able to do when the defense already knows it's probably going to him.
even more frustrating is that when they do decide to go out and get a big weapon, it's a guy like owens. i was pissed off when they did that, but i have to admit i changed my mind on that pick up after the first play from scrimmage that season (may have been pre-season) when mcnabb hit him for a 80 yard or so TD...then, of course, it was eventually back to being the same old prick he always was. who would have seen that coming?
it was the play of randall cunningham and chris carter on offense and the D line of pitts, simmons, white, and brown...along with guys like eric allen in the secondary that really got me into the team in the late 80's. so, yeah, i think it was more their defensive side that made me a fan when i first started watching.

that is what started my hate affair. Cunningham and that D.

i suppose i can see that. i used to have a picture from SI in my room at home of cunningham leaping over giants' defenders on his way into the end zone. might have been the one where he landed on his head...
booomm11, just a heads up in case you haven't dealt with that one before. one of about four posters who regularly, each season, drool while waiting for someone to start an eagles thread, will never tell you what their favourite team is, and will only post negative things no matter what is happening with the eagles. they are strangely obsessed with eagles fans and the team, for people who claim to hate us and the team. it became apparent a couple of years ago that you can't have a rational discussion or even joke around with them, so some of us just put them on ignore to save space in the thread.
at least they're consistent. i'll give them that. kind of like pavlov's dog when it comes to eagles threads.
Thanks Mook! i probably have... i got a short memory when it comes to these clowns.

that's probably a good thing! sorry, it's just frustrating sometimes because there are cool posters who like other teams and you can have a good joke with them, but as i mentioned there's about four of them or so who are just so ridiculously over the top they aren't worth wasting time with...in my opinion. "clowns" is a good description!

I'd take it too if it were an Eagles win but since the Pats had our walkthrough tape I guess we were destined to lose
