I'm considering trying to make it on my own by painting and selling childrens' (or anyone's) protraits or cartoons/charicatures, and having a website etc.
So I'm just throwing it out there, wondering if there's a market for that kind of thing? Is anyone looking for a painting, perhaps for a birthday present or such like?
I'm from the UK but I'd look into how to get stuff overseas.

Nice.
Although you might want to get someone amateur. My prices go up according to 'cool status' and album covers would be through the roof.

(what I'm getting at here is, you'll do it cheap and well and you'll be grateful  )
My family runs a wholesaler business in New England and it can be quite a pain sometimes because of margins etc.
If it's something you really want to do and you enjoy doing it, go for it. There's a market for everything.
Tribute bands are pointless and generally don't release albums I want to release my own music which is, frankly, awesome.

I already do enough weird experimental music though. I want to start a hardcore punk band because it's the most pure, beautiful music ever and has a wonderful DIY aesthetic which is where Mark could help me out, with artwork n shit.
In fact Mark, I have a massive favour to ask of you. I want you to agree to it first before I tell you what it is
