The Official 'Jeremy1012 Welcoming Committee' thread

edited April 2008 in All Encompassing Trip
Inspired by Jeremy1012's rush to finish an assignment at the last minute (OK so he procrastinated, but come on - we all do it!)...

This is where we should all stand with our flags and banners and billboards ('Play Leash You Pussies!') to congratulate anyone who finishes a mad dash to complete any kind of hard work - university, college or school assignments, or professional - have you got an important project which is massively daunting? And then we should all disappear off to *that* pub over there.

So, anyone who finishes something they never thought they'd get through, write it here so that others of us can join you in celebrating.

What say you?

Seeing as it's his own fault that he is in this situation (not trying to be a prick, i'm sure he already knows this) I don't really think that such procrastination should be rewarded. I can understand putting work off...but leaving this much to the last minute is absolutely absurd.

Flame me all you want, but there is reason for my annoyance with this. Coming from someone who had their dissertation stolen and then had to work their arse off to get it in on time, this really winds me up. Get of the pit, and do your work.

Come on man, this is just me trying to do something nice for a mate, and having a laugh in the process.. That said, I'm very sorry to hear about your predicament, what a horrible situation. Was it ever resolved?

I know I'm an idiot for procrastinating Dave but as for the being on the pit, in my defence, I came on during a snack break after 5 hours of solid work. I need a little rest before doing more otherwise I'm going to wear myself out and end up not finishing it.

Sucks about your dissertation though. I am determined that my work ethic shall be vastly improved in my second year so I will not be earning your chastisement again :)

I agree... I know plenty about procrastination... but I'd be the last to encourage or reward it.

'Rewarding procrastination' was not my intention for writing this thread, last time I checked.

Tell you what, why don't I start a brand-new thread yeah? One that isn't blighted by people who hold grudges?

 how is anything I said the same as holding a grudge?

It's not really helpful for a thread which says '(Yeah I know he procrastinated, but...)' to post quote after quote pointing the finger.. We get it. I've now made this a generic thread for anyone.. problem solved.
