Really, I just wanted to voice my opinion. When you insult all the creationists in the house in first twenty minutes, my Dad who put out a lot of money (for him) and good faith included, it makes a show less enjoyable. I dont know a lot about it all but I did study phil in school and wouldnt close mindly insult a group of people for thier beleifs, and since evolution and creationism are not neccesarily at odds, and ed is clearly not any more evolved than the next, I felt that unbearable.
Also, half there were so many self rightious (coincidence?) folks waiting to stroke eds beard by telling others to be quiet it was a tense, wierd vibe, not that I ever disrespectfully shout requests for hits. I just dont find hainging on every word of somoene like your living his life vicariously is too much, for a long time pj fan (92) its hard to say.
musically - why the fuck wouldnt ed assemble a world class band who can provide a musical show worth paying for? but his voice was amazing and I do love some of those songs.
tics - never btiched beofre, usually happy with whatever i get but post hook for tenclub seats? why am i paying 25 extra a year for that?
Finally,
I am sorry to be negative but I had to express this, thanks for listening and rock on! i would pick up Pearl Jams new record, but wouldnt see ev again.
The creationists thing - okay, I actually do agree (and I consider myself an athiest) that was out of line.
The telling others to be quiet being a "self-righteous" act, I think you completely misread that. As posted before me, the telling people to be quiet was because most people weren't there to listen to drunken idiots yell "EDDIEEEEEEE" and "PLAY CORDUROY". This wasn't my show, or anyone else's in the audience; and if Eddie doesn't feel like telling the previously mentioned drunken idiots to shut the hell up, I don't mind doing it.
The music thing - I'm pretty sure this was billed as an Eddie Vedder solo show.
The Ten Club thing - if you had a problem with the lottery system, you shouldn't have bought the tickets.
I for one was glad to be in the building. Good seats, bad seats - hell, you were there! You got to hear an excellent singer, guitarist, ukulele player, mandolin player, drummer in a beautiful and intimate environment. You disagree with Eddie's opinions? Disregard them then. It's childish to get upset because someone voices their opinions.

yeah man, I couldn't get 10 club tickets to either show, it sucked, and sucked even more when I saw all the fan club members going up front and shaking Eddie's hand. I can't deny that I had a pinge of jealousy go through me like I was a 12 year old and the girl I had a crush on was talking do another boy in my class, but I sucked it up and I had an awesome time looking down on my fellow Fan Club members in their seats on the floor
So suck it up, at least you were there
and at least you were on the floor

I noticed cameras of some sort night 1 in the upper corner filming the action.
As for the creationist thing, he was actually making fun of the people screaming out nonsense at being less evolved, but had to reference a bill hicks quote to set it up. In any case I'm sorry that "all the creationists" (the whole 3 who were probably there, it's toronto not kansas) were offended, but it was one of the best lines of the night.

That would be special. Something like The Gorge box set. A CD for each city played, the best of show. American and Canadian. All of Ed's tidbits and teezer tunes must be released as well. I just remembered today that he actually played "turning japanese", on Ukele on nite 2 in T.O. for like 10 seconds.

what exactly did Ed say???
It all started when someone yelled out "It's Evolution Baby". Eddie made a joke that this gentlemen obviously missed out on the evoloution thing.
He then qouted Bill Hicks saying "how creationists tend to look the least evolved".
I noticed cameras of some sort night 1 in the upper corner filming the action.
As for the creationist thing, he was actually making fun of the people screaming out nonsense at being less evolved, but had to reference a bill hicks quote to set it up. hope a dvd compilation comes out for this tour, even from the west coast tour.
yes. please do!

"Doesn't mean that much to me, to mean that much to you"
I'll take whatever they decide to release but would obviously be happiest with a Massey Hall 6 or 7-disc DVD + CD box set.;)
