I've done 'get artwork' but I still haven't got everything. Can I do it manually?

yes, I think it can be done manually.
open the properties of the track you want a cover for and then you have somethink like "illustration"...
If your tracks are well tagged, iTunes should fin all the covers. For me, the only albums for which iTunes didn't find a cover are the PJ boots.

it's very long process to do because you have to have the artwork for every single file. You will have to copy and paste it from google images or something and put it in under the artwork tab for the song. I took me about 4 weeks to do this (before they had 'get album artwork). I'm really anal about that stuff, but it is really really annoying to do.

There's a way to do it where you can highlight all the songs from the album and insert the cover artwork that you want. I can't remember for the life of me how to do it because I'm not in front of my laptop where my I Tunes is.

It's easy and only takes a second or two...

Make sure in the artwork window in the lower left you've set it to 'selected item' and NOT 'now playing.'

Go to amazon or wikipedia (or the source of preference) and drag the artwork from there to your desktop. Drag it to the artwork window and you're done. If you use a Mac, there's a widget that automatically gets you artwork for what's playing -- lyrics too.

can you do this after the CD has already been imported onto your hard drive and in your itunes music library? or must you do this prior to importing the CD?

Do it after you've imported into iTunes. Just be sure to highlight the songs you want tagged with the selected items selection in the artwork display window on iTunes -- not now playing.

Yeah it's easy. I also use Amazon as a source. Even if you have the "official" artwork, you can replace it with stuff like this....

Thanks. It's done now. I'm just waiting for the paint to dry. I used oil-based so that it wouldn't mess with the electrics.
