I need Mac OS X 10.4.8 FREE.....

Any ideas?

    what version do you have ?
    The last update I made (about 2 weeks ago) was version 10.4.11
    If you have Mac OS 10.4, you may update it for free
    2006: Antwerp, Paris
    2007: Copenhagen, Werchter
    2009: Rotterdam, London
    2010: MSG, Arras, Werchter
    2012: Amsterdam, Prague, Berlin
    2014: Amsterdam, Stockholm

    That's weird because when I go to the Apple site it tells me I have to pay for it..
    weird... did you try updating the apple softwares through the update wizard (clicking on the apple at the left corner of the screen, you have something like "update softwares")...
