the T is the way to go! but if you must park, park far away from the stadium, otherwise you pay 60-90 bucks!
I will be what i could be
Once I get out of this town

  • Yeah all the spots near the stadium are 40-60 now. Plus with the college kids in town finding parking in the side streets is difficult. I would recommend knowing if you want to pay 50.00 or be prepared to drive around a very confusing area for a while.

Best bet? Just get on the T. Everyone goes to the game that way and people are easy to follow to and from.

Park at Riverside off 128. Starts the D line and goes straight to the park. Big parking lots. Just dont get there late.

lol yeah he is lucky. my dad knows someone who has season tix and gave one to Jeremy for his birthday and one to me for mine ;)

Haverhill is 15 mins from my job so it works out for me if i decided to go that route. saving money does sound good!!

we plan on leaving right when he gets back from school...about 2:30ish

I concur with everyone here. Park at a station and take the T. Finding parking around Fenway is bad enough when the college kids aren't in town, let alone while they are still here. Have a blast.

why are you nervous??? Boston is perfect safe.
what exactly are your "issues" with public transportation???

don't take the commuter rail then you have to T it back to north station after the game. drive to alewife or something and take the T. Let me tell you, if you drive, it will make you much more nervous. there are lots around fenway, but you have to get there early and pay a premium.

Driving down 93 into Boston at that time of day is actually pretty smooth (I do it every day). I would drive in and park at Lechmere (there's a lot right across from the station...$3.50, I think, unless they gouge for Sox games). It's the green line and will take you right to Kenmore.

ah yes, haverhill is off 93...yeah lechmere would be a good location (is there ample parking there???

or a great solution, since everyone will be cramming the green line at kenmore after the game, which trust me is insane is to take 128 to rt. 2 and come in from alewife on the red line. then, after the game, walk to mass ave, take the #1 bus to harvard square, and pick up the redline there. once I thought of this solution, I haven't gone near the greenline since.

No shit...I never thought of that. Are you talking about the buses in front of Kenmore? Is it easy to pick up a 1 or can you wind up waiting for a while?

And on Lechmere...there's a pretty ample lot on the other side of 28. The station just opened back up, so I haven't taken it in for a Sox game yet...not sure if they jack for parking when they're in town, but I doubt it.

not sure what you mean by the buses in front of kenmore. basically you just walk out to Kenmore sq and walk east on comm until you hit mass ave (around the hynes convention center/end of boylston/newbury area). Then you can grab the 1 all along mass ave. it just goes over the bridge to harvard. they come like every 10 minutes or soemthing

(actually if I'm alone, I just walk to harvard from that area, but I am insane and willing to walk foolish distances, so don't listen to me on that)

Look for a spot in the South Campus area of B.U., other side of Beacon Street, behind the 800 block...Buswell Street, Ivy Street, Mountfort Street. From there you walk across Beacon through the big lot and you're at Fenway in 4 minutes. A bit tougher before May when school is out, but do-able.
I take the George Costanza theory when it comes to parking..."its like sex, why pay for it when if I apply myself I can get it for free".
    This weekend we rock Portland
