Best Beach in NJ

I seem to notice a ton of people from the NJ area on this board and was wondering what everyone thought was the best beach in NJ.

I play a ton of beach volleyball over the summer and happen to like Point Pleasant the best. They have good amount of parking and if you get there early enough great FREE parking spots. The beach is VERY clean and wide open. There are public restrooms and private showers if you need them. There is also a lot of different places to eat on and off the boardwalk.

A close second would be Belmar. Super clean town with ample parking as well.
Hey, you wouldn't hire a clown to fix a leak in the jon so why do you let these hooligans tear down the biz? YEEAAHHH. I don't care if he is Mr. Notorious BIG, can he croon?

I love point pleasant! I used to go so many times in the summer. Its small but not as grody as places like seaside or wildwood haha.

Ocean city is a nice family place too.

point pleasant is usually my NJ beach. the water and sand is usually really clean. the large boardwalk is a huge plus... it has food, bars, shops, arcades, rides, tons of games.

long beach island is great too, but that is much further south than point pleasant. could take almost 3 hours from north jersey.

I have a place in Margate, and the girl's family has places in LBI Beach Haven & Long Port. I could care less as long as I'm on a beach!! But Beach Haven is a nice shore spot, the other two are more like suburbs.

Growing up I always went to Ocean City because I had family there and it is child friendly. I also like LBI :)
If I don't feel like driving far, I go right to Atlantic City. It's usually not too crowded since people go there just for the casinos.

I agree! Unless you like swimming with medical waste. :)

I like Cape May and Stone Harbor the best. Especially the beach by the lighthouse in Cape May - not too crowded and really easy to park.

    bullshit.
this problem, is NOT exclusive to NJ.
Some of the Cleanest Beaches are found in the North Eastern USA- and of course there aree always isolated incidents of waste being washed up on the shore.

wildwood and seaside heights are full of clowns. i refuse to go to either.

last time i was at seaside, a dead beat/white trash dad was picking his 3 year old son up and holding him upside down by his ankle and was spinning him around. and when he wasn't doing that, he was teaching the kid how to say, fuck/shit/asshole.

Don't remind me. Those f'n losers. They give NJ a bad name. That guy was such a tool. Granted most of the guys down the shore are Benny's anyway. Although I will admit I love those MTV True Life shows.

MTV also had a beach house in Seaside a few years ago.

Benny (according to the Urban Dictionary):

A term used to describe the pariah New Yorkers and obnoxious city folk who day-trip to the Jersey shore, clogging the streets, and cramping our beaches. how to spot a benny:

Men: NYY cutoff t-shirt, backwards NYY cap, tweezed eyebrows, polished fingernails, boombox cranked all the way up, cooler, large gold jewlery, Adidas's flipflops

Women: big and long hair with obnoxious gucci shades and other cranium accessories, polished French manicure with matching pedicure, globbed makeup, animal print handbag, platform flipflops

I think LBI has nice beeches but my only complaint is one way in / one way out. If you get stuck on the bridge you will be there forever.

    Bayonne, Elizabeth, N?, New York?

    You are correct:

    B: Bayonne
    E: Elizabeth
    N: Newark
    NY: New York

    That is also a definition.

haha.. I met some girls from Bayonne out here on the beach in Santa Monica. They were pretty cool and hot... nothing like the definition of a benny.:D I'm actually good friends with one of them now. Bayonne chicks are cool in my book!!
Whoa, chill bro... you know you can't raise your voice like that when the lion's here.
