I have a 15 page paper for a class and i was wondering if anyone here had any ideas. The class is called the rhetorics of rock and rock criticism. We are basically allowed to do it on whatever we want but it has to be something that can take up 15 pages. here are a few examples my prof. gave us.
-How has the advent of the mp3 and p2p networks changed our understanding of "the album" as a artistic artifact.
-How have attitudes changed concerning the licensing of pop music to commercials? What might this change inply about our understanding of popular music?
-How has Clear Channel affected the music industry? Is it close to a monopoly? You might also consider ticketmaster in this regard.
Im open to any ideas as of now. Thanks

I would lean towards that, personally.

Find shapes in the clouds.
Hear the murmur of the wind
and touch the cool water.
Walk softly,
we are intruders,
tolerated briefly
In an infinite universe.
Bob Lefsetz has some interesting words on this type of thing from time to time.
