I admit to being a fan but this is truly in the worst group of NFL teams
giving up all the yardage on the ground was hard to swallow

maybe we shouldnt have traded rogers away

anyone else here been a lion fan for 50 years, i have been one for 25 and i must admit that even through the worst of times they didnt look nearly as bad as they sounded yesterday

matt millen must resign

  • Tough team to be a fan of. It seems like they want the team to suck because they never make any decent draft picks or trades. You guys must really have alot of salary cap space.

I have been a fan since I knew what football was. I have tried to severe ties but I keep coming back. I don't know why they can't ever seem to turn it around. The Bucs, Browns, Bears and countless others have clawed their way out from the cellar and become competitive, why not the Lions??? The Ford family should be forced to give up ownership.

At least the stadium they play in is nice.

  • That loss yesterday was truly pathetic. The Falcons were the consensus pick for the worst team in the league this year... you know that people thought the Falcons fucking suck when they made the goddamned DETROIT LIONS 4-point favorites on the road. And then they go down there and they make a career backup RB look like fucking Walter Payton and a rookie QB that made them look stupid? Are you fucking kidding me? They didn't pressure him one single time all day (but I guess when you chew up 300+ yards on the ground, you're probably not dropping back to pass a whole bunch)... linebacker play was abysmal yesterday... Kitna was horrible... people laughed at me when I said they'd be lucky if they won 6 games this year... "They look really good in the preseason!!!!" and "the defense has really improved and Shaun Rogers is addition by subtraction!!!" and "Williams and Johnson are both healthy and Kevin Smith is a solid RB!!!". Please. Give me a fucking break.

I've been a fan since 1979... season ticket holder since '99... this team has repeatedly kicked me in the nuts every year (except for the '91-'92 mirage). 4-0 start in the '80 season ("Another One Bites the Dust"), Murray missing the chip shot at Candlestick Park in the '83 playoffs, busted coverage against Sterling Sharpe in the '95 playoffs, the embarassment in Philly a couple years later... I honestly don't know why I still care, but I do.

I live in Michigan and know lots of Lions fan, and because of some of them I've always hoped the team would suck, but honestly, I do not feel that way anymore.

Not sure about the loss of Rodgers, he really did a lot against Dallas yesterday.

I'm so sick of seeing games like yesterday. I wish they would move to LA or somewhere. Let us get an expansion team and start over. Please.

Did we watch the same game? He looked damn near invisible to me... had like 3 tackles and nobody got close to Romo all afternoon.
  • Those assholes made me lose in my survivor pool!! I thought for one week i could pick my Lions. I told myself that the Lions have wouldn't dissapoint me this year. How could they lose to a team w/ a rookie head coach/QB/LT/RB i thought. I don't know why i continue to be surprised by this team. I'll still root for them and watch them every single week but they sure as hell don't make it easy on me.

I would take more satisfaction with a public, half-time, 50 yard line firing.

    Perfect Idea!

Also, play Rudi Johnson. It's making me look bad for picking him so early :D
