Hamilton 2011
London 2013
islanders suck!!
"Good God, when will it end."
dude....we are about to take a major tumble in the standings. it was bound to happen, just accept it and hope for better fortunes next year.
this team is loaded with fraudulent talent. Mike Comrie is a weak-armed overrated waste of a player. Fedotenko and Vasicek are off of the same trash heap. Guerin is an alcoholic with zero left in the tank.
The kids in Bridgeport have to be injected into the team next year. Enough with Nolan's charity cases. I want to see Okposo, Tambellini, Nielsen, Brennan ... and pretty much any other kid down there.
We have Dipietro for 15 years ... they have got to put a team together and avoid wasting his talent.
In the words of a NY radio personality, "Oh, the pain."
Give us Rick DiPietro and we'll talk.
eddies surfing buddy brian ( the greatest american born player , ever ) used to play for the Rangers.
and, he just recently had his # 2 retired and hung from the rafters of The Garden.

is that the connection between him and eddie? funny... brian doesn't look like the surfing type.
apparently he was agile as a youth and excelled in baseball ( a pitcher ) as well as surfing and anything else he tried .
rumour was that ed and him surfed together as kids, then went their seperate ways, subsequently they then ran back into each other years later, after they each had success on their own in their own worlds.

yeah, i always knew he was a great baseball player growing up. it's just crazy, because brian grew up in CT and eddie grew up in CA.
there was a great interview with chris chelios and the reporter brought up his relationship with eddie. i think they used to work at the same gas station together, went their separate ways, and ran into each other at a restaurant in chicago when eddie was dining with dennis rodman in the late 90's.
would have been great if he was able to make an appearance when he was getting his # retired. wonder if he would have come on stage at the viewing party.
Well they were great at least from 80 to 83 ............Maybe the OP should consider chanelling the spirirt of BIlly Smith and Clark Gillies
