ive always been an islander fan and im in the detroit area and with those uniforms i must say that last night i had two favorite teams

    now im old,, but every once in a while ill lace em back up


    if i had a little more speed.. i could of been someone


    and i have 2 open ice knockouts on my list ,,clean body on body :)

    Not in a few years... I played in high school, and on a bunch of beer league teams over the years until I moved a few years ago. I ended up refereeing more then playing towards the end because I liked the idea of getting paid to skate around instead of paying for it lol.

    I keep saying that I need to get back on the ice, but it hasn't happened.

    Played Street Hockey everyday growing up

    Then when I got older played organ-I-zed Roller Hockey

    Never played Ice Hockey...too expensive for us growing up :o
    My drinking team has a hockey problem

    The ONLY thing better than a glass of beer is tea with Miss McGill

    I just started playing about 5 weeks ago...I really should have taken skating lessons before hockey lessons though! I'm TERRIBLE! Started about 6 weeks after I turned 30...I figure, what kind of Canadian guy doesn't know how to play hockey (well, I played tonnes of street hockey growing up, but never could skate).
    Yeah, so hockey is HARD!!!

    yup. Played from the time I could walk on the backyard rink...joined organized hockey at.....5? Played until I discovered that drinking, chasing girls, and 6AM Saturday practices don't mix.....quit for about 15 years...just started playin beer league again last year, after finally finding a team. LOVE it. We won the league championship and got a trip to Van for regionals...was like bein a kid again!

    I played softball last summer and couldn't stop thinking, "why tf didn't I join a summer hockey league - this SUCKS"

    Good for you! I know a couple guys older than you that just started playin...They probably enjoy playing more than anyone else I know. But it is tough to pick up...it takes tons of practice...I practically lived on the outdoor rinks when I was little, and I was still just an average player....and MAN did I SUCK after quitting for so long! I was on my ass half the game....I'm down to about 1/4 now...

    haven't played ice hockey in over 10 years, and I hope to get back into it soon, when I get some money to get some new equipment

    played floor hockey last year in a league, that was alot of fun.

    I got to play goalie for about 6 games, it was great except for the fact that a new area was sore that I have never felt before, my hip.
