    10 years ago - hasek

i dont think its debatable at all. every night Rick gives the Isles a legit chance to win ... but in Hasek's case, he plays for Detroit. Plus, he has Osgood (a superior goalie, imo) as his backup.

ask the devils about that one..... rick dipietro right now for the regular-season and i'm sure he'd be good in a big playoff spot if and when the islanders ever get past the first round.

right now it's dipietro, but down the stretch, it'll be all hasek. he's got the superior shut-down squad in front of him.

there is not one thing i like about dipietro. from his cocky attitude to wearing his blocker on his left hand. dipietro is having a better season than hasek so far... but once the playoffs roll around, i would want hasek in my net.

dont let your insecurities about left-handed people cloud your opinion about their talents.
