Hit quote on one and copy it all, back up and quote the next one, paste the stuff in there.

Copy and paste my man, copy and paste ;)
Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.

hmmm, second one in as many days asking this.
    Anyhoo, it's real simple.

    Just type
, and then put the quote in between these tags. To attribute the quote to a particular user, on th first tag type
    or whoever it may be
    I hope this helps

I had to put an extra space in the first quote tag above to get it to show up. leave that space out when you're quoting people.

    EXACTLY

You can only hit 1 quote BUTTON at a time so the others have to manually CUT / PASTE / INSERT IN.

    USING THE HYPERTEXT PROTOCOL

["quote"] AT THE BEGINNING AND ["/quote"] AT THE END.

If you memorize the code, you can just past them without having to hit quote everytime. Which is easier.

Captain Obvious is right. It's a pretty easy code.

so does that mean you can attribute quotes to anyone without them actually writing anything?

    Hitch-Hiker,

And to get really technical, you can wrap things in a noparse to get things to not parse the vB links. So, in your example above you could have done this: [noparse][noparse]
[/noparse][/noparse] to get it to look like this [noparse]
    [/noparse]

And in actuality you and I have been intertwining them backwards. It just looks more sensible in the order that we've been intertwining them.

The most recent quote should take up the outer layer while the original quote inhabits the center layer.

There are some message boards that automatically intertwine quotes when you quote a comment containing a quote. That feature has apparently been turned off on this board.

Another thing that's different about this board compared to others is the zero leeway for editing posts before the edit is noted. Most boards will give you at least 30 seconds to edit the post before it's noted.
