did you buy something before you joined?

    Does that make a difference?

it seems that you gain member number the first time you order through the goods section...once you become a member you retain that number

so in the op's case he could have ordered something long before he joined the fanclub and have a number relative to others who signed up around the time of his or her pruchase
    looking for 2 to Columbia...

it has in the past. people that purchased something w/o being a member were assigned a customer id number. that customer id number became their membership number after joining.

    That is so wrong.

Not you that is, but the fact that those people did not have to pay dues for a length of time like the rest of us did. I waited to join before I ordered anything off the website. I ordered single so I had to join!

Hes prob looking in the goods section, those numbers are low from like 02, the number on the mail that he recieves like Deep would be the number.
I joined late yield my number is like 179xxx, but in 02 my number from a shirt order says like 70234.
Some people have religion I have Pearl Jam.

    no more shows

:(, yep it's WAY too low!
I joined Oct 01, never having ordered anything before, and got 242xxx.

you must have ordered something before, 99-00 probably and that's that number you're now getting.

this is very wrong, like those people that let it lapse for years and still retained their number, and why seniority is really a big joke

This is indeed interesting. I joined July '05 , almost a year before, and you could add approx 150,000 to the OP's #. That would equal mine....... What are you going to do? :(

    Seating location @ PJ concerts.

Lower the number, closer you are to the stage.

where you seat at shows for which you get 10c tickets. (the seated shows obviously, not GA ones...June will be the first time I actually use my number)

    Ahh, thanks for the info.

GA shows are a much better experience in my opinion, anyway.

Fair enough. I just love being among so many people who are all in the moment. The atmosphere standing is amazing. Of course this is just my opinion. I know there'll be some people who disagree, and some people who agree.

Well it doesn't matter if you like GA better or not, most PJ shows are seated on the floor.
