I dont care if you believe this or not....

I read others "fortunes" using a deck standard playing cards and have been doing so since I was 16....

I just think its a channeling of information which express the already "unknown thought." Basically, the Jungian idea behind it is the unseen synchronistic link between us and our surroundings. Jung found out that when we consult an oracle such as cards, that we are deliberately attempting to produce a reading through synchronicity. So by plain virtue of unconsciously selecting certain cards, we are putting ourselves into a position whereby we actually cause that coinciding moment of kairos - timelessness. The end result being is that we contact the past, present and future.

What do you think?

    I think that's exactly right.
My mother used to read Tarot in her store, and she was a great reader. Not because she could predict the future but because she was great at picking up on stuff that was already on the radar of the person she was reading. The cards just help you tune into stuff on the perifory that you might not already be thinking about.
