Firefox Keeps Logging Me Out

Up until a couple days ago Firefox would keep me logged in on message boards, Gmail, Yahoo, etc. Now everytime I close the browser I have to log back in for all these websites. I haven't made any changes to my system except for updating Firefox to 3.0.2. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Is anybody else having problems with this as well? It's really annoying because I visit a lot of the same websites daily and don't want to have to log in everytime I visit a page, especially since I've never had this issue before. Any help is appreciated.
I wish I was as fortunate, as fortunate as me.

make sure you click "remember" at the top of the screen - under where you type the url ( when you log in ). So it saves your details as cookies.

And it helps if you tick the boxes which are like "log me in forever" etc

I covered those bases. It's not anything obvious I'm pretty sure. I've never had to log in when I come here except when I restart my computer or something.

is the "clear cookies upon closing" checked?

or something to that affect. That could cause it too

I read on some tech forums that the newest update version is causing the problems. I've actually gone back to Firefox 2 at the moment and everything is working fine.
