I Need To Get A New Job

I'm currently a bank teller and I really hate it. I have been in the position for 14 months and I dread going to work almost every day. I will be graduating with a BS in Finance in December but have no idea what I want to do. The job market in this area is decent but it seems you have to have an inside track to find anything. Using a search engine like Monster or CareerBuilder is basically useless to me. I have an interest in real estate but everything seems to be commission only and I can't afford to work for months at a time without a steady income especially before becoming established. Almost everything I'm looking at requires a degree. I have a couple years of retail sales experience as well as some office/clerical experience. I had toyed with the idea of starting my own business but I couldn't come up with any solid ideas. I know a guy who makes a living selling thrift store goods on ebay but I don't know how solid that income could be. Does anybody have any suggestions? I'm open to about anything. I'd love to be able to set my own hours. Right now I'm not making much money so if you know of anything legitimate I could do from home and make $12 or more per hour full time I'm all ears. My wife is a teacher so being off on weekends is essential. I'm just sick of doing what I do and am ready for a change. Please help if you have any thoughts. Thanks in advance.
I wish I was as fortunate, as fortunate as me.

Get your degree, first of all. Then get some experience in the field you want to work in. If it's real estate, I'm sure they have salary plus commission packages for new hires so you won't be commission-only right away (at least that's how it was when I started in the insurance industry back in the day... which was the worst 7 months of my life!) Anyway, degree + experience will get you where you want to go. Be patient and work hard and good things will happen...
I smile, but who am I kidding...

Is commuting to Charlotte an option? It's probably what, an hour from High Point? With Charlotte being a major banking/finance city, I'm sure there would be some opportunities there.

As far as working from home I don't know, but the thought of becoming a personal financial advisor crossed my mind. You would probably need to get some experience working for a company first, then go out on your own. Just a thought.
