Well, christmas is almost here , and we are going through a transformation as pj fans these days. as every year passes, we grow older, wiser, and more ever so closer to being rolling stones fans ( so to speak ). One of these years we will have to come to terms with the fact that pj will nOT make any more albums , and are we ready to handle that? Nothing lasts forever but we can enjoy it while it lasts, hmm. I am the biggest fan there is and this is hard to swallow. PJ, please come up with a few more albums before we have to face this reality. we love u guys ...call me crazy, please share here...

Reminds you sort of, of life. There has always been that inevitable. I used to really worry about it in the mid 90's when it seemed as though any day they could have broken up. Around the turn of this last century I realized that they are in it for the long haul and will make music, probably, their wholes lives. And, they seem pretty head strong about keeping the main vehicle for that music, Pearl Jam. I think they are excited by the fact that they have been able to stay together for so long, like a lot of the greats; Tom Petty and the Heart Breakers, REM, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street band just to name a few.

So yeah, their latter albums may come a little further in between as their lives fill up with families, but I don;t think we'll see the day when the announce that they are broken up or finished as a band. Unless, God forbid we lose one of the founding band members...then all bets would be off.

But jeez man, what a downer topic for the holidays. :)

if the who with 2 orginal band members can still go out and tour good, i think will be fine. but i said something the other day to someone i know that i feel as though with the reissuing of ten that its sorta there goodbye for now. they all have families now and probably would like to spend time with them. i can see the band taking a break till like 2011 or 2012, im talking like just kicking back and enjoying life.

    iggles suck go cowboys hehe

I dunno metsy, there has been a lot of chatter about them in and about the studio with Brendan O'Brien working on a new record. I am optimistic that we'll get a new record in late 2009 or early 2010.

I don't think Ed can sit still too long. They will have a rockin next few years, prolly a world tour, a few festies. I think they will continue individual projects, it seems to mostly keep them close to home or out on the road for much shorter times. PJ is the bread and butter, they will be together for a while!!!
Thank you fellow 10 clubber for saving my ass....again!!!

  • Keep the faith.
I see a future where the band has to return to a general admission policy so we can wheel our wheelchairs into the venue. Keep on rockin' in the...
