Congrats Celtics fans from a Lakers fan. You guys completely out-hustled, out-muscled and out-played the Lakers. Nice job. I disagree with the finals MVP choice though, should have been Garnett. D was the reason for the win and Garnett was the anchor.

nah, i hate basketball. i'd like to see the knicks win because they are from NYC, but everyone knows they are far far far away from a championship. it's actually become comical and quite entertaining to see the mess they create season after season.

I disagree, if it wasn't Pierce, i would've given it to Ray Ray.

Either way though, a magical series. I bought the series for download off Nba.com, so i'll always have it in it's entirety.

The worst part of the Celtics winning is that the sports world has to endure reruns of Paul Pierce's leg falling off and being reattached during game 1. Ugh.

    Oh yeah, that's hilarious.

    Pierce 21.8ppg
    Allen 20.3ppg

    Pierce 4.5rpg
    Allen 5.0rpg

    Pierce 6.3apg
    Allen 2.5apg

    Pierce 1.17spg
    Allen 1.33spg

    Pierce 3.67topg
    Allen 1.83topg

    Pierce 38/88 43.2% FG
    Allen 37/73 50.7% FG

    Pierce 11/28 39.3% 3PT
    Allen 22/42 52.4% 3PT

    Pierce 44/53 83.0% FT
    Allen 26/30 86.7% FT

Allen took 6 of those 8 categories, and even scoring was close. The only lopsided stat there was Assists. Their minutes were 41 to 39 in favor of Allen. That's a wash.

You're right, it's hilarious to think Ray Allen had a shot at the Finals MVP.
The most 3's in an NBA Finals series, and he shot better than 50%, after having horrible first and second round series.

I'm a Paul Pierce fan, and have been since his days at Kansas, but i wouldn't have been disappointed w/Ray Allen being named Finals MVP.

What amazes me about your comments after this Celtics victory is how it appears it's difficult to say anything positive.

I can clearly recall after the PATRIOTS defeat/beatdown to the hands of the Giants I went beyond being gracious to the ALL the Giants fans. Wanting them to bask in the glory of their victory, even though it hurt a bit I felt that was the most honorable way to go about a game men play for our entertainment.

If you are a true hockey player like I was you should know at the end of series you shake hands with your opponent you may have had a fight with and you do it with honor. However anytime a Boston team comes out on top you find it comfortable make snide remarks to down grade any victory by a team from Boston.

It's ALL good though you go on with your bad self and your snide remarks that tend ruin threads it won't take away from what the Celtics or ALL the other teams Boston teams have accomplished cause I'll say it with music.....Yeah! Ain't We Funkin Now! :)

*MUSIC IS the expression of EMOTION.....and that POLITICS IS merely the DECOY of PERCEPTION*
