p.s. as far as hulk is concerned, i wonder if his underpants are also ripped apart when he turns into hulk.

    Have you ever tried to wash kryptonite skids out of a pair of jockeys? It's much easier to just keep replacing leotards. Besides, accentuating one's package whilst saving the world from destruction has to help with attracting the ladies, no?

    It comes from basing the superheroes on the strong men in the circus. Hence big belts and prominent underwear.
