Salvia makes people act like morons. I can't imagine anything worse than someone filming me while I was on it.

General hysterical laughing or loss of control of movement, plus talking gibberish.

    I talk from experience.

Fun is the wrong word. I didn't have a BAD time but I have half a vial of the stuff left and haven't touched it for 8 months for a reason. It's crazy stuff and I realised it was too powerful to be messing about with. I did it a few times and it was a more powerful experience every time to the point where I decided not to do it again.

I doubted the hallucinogenic properties, having only felt a little funny and had an odd blurring of the senses a few times. Then the final time I imagined that I ended up on a small fairground train I used to go on as a kid, riding round and round while I heard faint and indecipherable but familiar sounding voices coming at me from all around, directly into my head, not intimidating in any way but really disconcertingly familiar. When I came back I decided I was done with that shit. Haven't touched anything but alcohol since, apart from one joint :p

Thing is, my brother sat in on that one and though to me, I went on a train ride, he told me I just sat in my chair talking utter, incomprehensible crap for 5 minutes. It seemed like about an hour to me.

Why exactly it is legal and weed isn't is beyond me. They say salvia is more intense than LSD, it just lasts for only a few minutes.

This is what it looks like to observers: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=related&v=LuM2oREjE6Y

It does seem to have become that, yes. All the fratboys on youtube filming each other going mental etc.

It has spiritual and ritualistic use for some mexican indigenous tribe, and I used it alone as an experiment, but looking back I'm not interested in drugs that are going to fuck me up mentally as well as potentially physically.

Yea, any drug that puts you in a totally batty state like Salv does isn't worth it imo.

Yeah, I think that video was pretty genuine. It's the only thing I've ever taken that alters reality, you aren't aware you have taken anything while it's happening, the altered reality seems very, very real which means if you had a bad trip, it could be very dangerous, mentally or physically, you have no perception of ordinary control over your body for a few minutes and could do anything. That's why I never did it again after I had a very powerful but not unpleasant trip. Didn't want to push it.

In short, I'm very open to new experiences but once I had that one, I didn't need to have it again, and I don't really recommend it to anyone :)
