Lets talk about Aaron Rodgers

With every passing day, I am caring alittle bit less about Brett Favre being on the team anymore. Even though it was against the Bengals, Aaron Rodgers looked pretty solid tonight.........I guess I just really hope he stays healthy because I think he can really improve alot if he does. Anybody else have thoughts?

I've always liked Aaron Rodgers and when he was at Cal I thought he would make a solid NFL QB. There's no way he can be Brett Favre but I think he will be a good player.

My only concern if I was a Packers fan would be if he does get injured, you have two rookies backing him up.

It's probably the best long term move for the team. Brett Farve had his chance with a 13-3 team and a really beatable NFC and he absolutely totally utterly blew it with a terrible interception the kind of interception that has plagued him his entire career. He wanted to show up and play on reputation without doing anything they really need the QB of the team to do.

The powers that be gave him every opportunity and I truely believe he wanted to be like Strahan and simply play not practice much not put in the work... just show up and play. To McCarthy who seems to be more of a team over player guy it was worth the risk (though they will have to get a proven backup) Brohm needs time to adjust and he's not exactly mr healthy either.

Lets be honest... we'll all be impressed if Rodgers makes it through week 6. He'll be effective this year probably as effective as a 39 year old not really that into it Brett Farve honestly. He won't make spectacular plays I don't think but I don't think it's an awful call and no one else in the NFC North has a QB either.

It's never good to have to "push out" a hall of famer but he unretired a month before the season.

The reason I hate the packers right now is offering him 20+ million to stay home. That's totally unacceptable.

The Vikings and Packers will duke it out for the division but it will be a long ugly season I think in the NFC north.

I am fucking sick of hearing about Brett Favre and everything surrounding him! ESPN is the worst - "blah blah blah BRETT FAVRE..blah blah blah BRETT FAVRE"....enough already! It doesn't matter, Rodgers reminds me of Doug Pederson. Brian Brohm will end up the starting QB for that team in due time.

That is my concern and I would really like a veteran at backup. Problem is that I dont even know who we could get at backup anymore.

Why not talk about the Bengals..they did win.

ESPN was horrible last night. I dont think they could get their heads further up their asses. It was like they were told not to say anything positive about the Bengals.

1st quarter was bad. But once they got in gear they scored easily.

I want their offense to be good, I often get a few of their guys for fantasy.

absolutely and totally the worst national football broadcast ever is ESPN's version of MNF. If they did this in a non popular sport like say Basketball... no one would watch it. These guys think people are tuning in to hear what they have to say.

I don't give a shit about Suzy Fing Colber or whomever interviewing some moron on the sideline. Call the game.

That and they feel the need to add Kornheiser who fixates on whatever he feels is the most relevant nationally.

People watch football because they freaking like football. The only ONLY people watching preseason football love football. I could care less about a human interest story.

BTW, bengals looked good running the football. That's a good sign for them I think.
