No shit talking just positive comments.

My favorite athlete in any sport ever. I am not sure that football will ever be the same for me. When him and the pack lost a game, it felt like I was losing a game.

    Booooo.

Should have retired a long time ago.

Sucks that Urlacher won't plant him in the dirt anymore, but at least the Pack will be taken down a notch next year.

Sucks that Urlacher won't plant him in the dirt anymore,

And also sucks that we won't see Favre get up after that hit, then hit Ur-slacker (;)) on the helmet, all with the smile of a 13 year old on his face.

Last of a dying breed in the NFL...

    Will be missed.

That's what I'm talking about, he found a way to ease the pressure of the games.

I've been to and watched a ton of press conferences over the last five years. I've never seen anything like Favre did today. No notes, straight from the hip, just like his NFL career. It's no wonder people love him. Favre has caught some flak the last couple of days for what people perceive as the fawning treatment of him by members of media outlets. After watching this presser, it's no surprise why he was treated the way he was. The guy sat up there and poured his heart out. When he was asked a question, even a long one, he answered it, point-by-point, with thoughtfulness and what seemed like honesty. Kudos to Favre.

How about we all stop crying like bitches over this guy?

He retired. Hes 37. Its football. Its time. He is going out on top. Great year, great career. The NFC champ game will not be his legacy.

See ya Brett. Rodgers says thanks.

When you're a Packer fan that has only known the Packers with Favre, it's a big deal when he retires. I am a huge packer fan and all I know is the team with Favre. It won't really be the same team to me anymore, but they'll still always be my favorite.

  • It was a great move on his part...he leaves with such a great send off...he will be missed, an authentic Quarterback...they really don't make those the same, do they?

I only remeber 6 QB's for the Packers in my lifetime, Anthony Dilweg, Blair Kiel, Mike Tomczak, Randy Wright, Don Majkowski, and Favre, obviously 16 seasons of Favre, and besides him realy only remeber the Majik man, so yeah it is a big deal. I'll never forget the retirement speach, or most of his career. Your a class act and deserve to ride off into the sunset on top, and do whatever you feel like or don't feel like doing in retirement, you've earned it!!!
