Maybe they will take them off the air then. I cannot believe so many people watch this garbage. Now they even have a show with kids of musicians competing against each other. Hopefully I do not offend anybody here but most people have such poor taste in television.

TV is the worst it has ever been.

nevermind the retarded reality shows, look at the game shows that are out there! my dad is better than your dad, are you smarter than a 5th grader, moment of truth, and so many more that i can't think of. deal or no deal was such a success, so many people are trying to come up with game show that can try and compete, but come up terribly short.

other than hockey/baseball/simpsons/seinfeld, i don't give 2 shits about TV. i'd rather read/listen to music than watch 5 minutes of the garbage that is out there today.

Same here, I watch box sets of old television shows way more than watching new shows. We need some quality programs like The Wonder Years again.

agreed. whenever i visit with my buddy in the evening, his wife always has some shit on tv. that dancing show with the washed up celebs or some other bull shit.

he's pussy whipped so he sort of laughs it off and tries to convince me that 'it's not too bad, really'

    ugh.. poor bastard.
Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
    And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green

The Office and sports is the only thing I watch now.

I usually end up turning on the tv, clicking the channel up button about 150 times, then turning it off.

sports and the CBS monday might lineup isn't bad - really enjoy How I Met Your Mother. other than that, its all crap. reality tv has so far outlived it's usefulness - lets just stop it now.

I don't think it so much has to do with that there's no good shows on anymore, it has more to do with the fact that there's just way too many fucking channels these days. It seems you can get yourself a channel for just about anything.

There's still the same amount of quality programming out there that's always been there, it's just harder to find these days with all the filler shit that's thrown onto every channel now. This is why reality shows have become so popular, more airtime to fill, cheaper to produce.

Plus they need to quit trying to make typical sitcom's as well. That idea was growing tired even back when Married with Children was on its way out. Everything is rehashed in the writing with updated references but just the same formula.

Celebrity rehab is one of the worse.... I don't ever see videos anymore on vh1 or mtv.
These cuts are leaving creases. Trace the scars to fit the pieces, to tell the story, you don't need to say a word.

Yet we cant get a decent music channel. I would love a channel with just music videos, documentaries, and live concerts.

You sound like me. My tv gets about 4 channels that come in clearly. I can afford all that other crap but I just don't want it. The only thing I can watch on tv is sports and cartoons. I don't care about celebrities past, present, or future. On the other hand, I don't really watch tv, so I really don't care what is clogging the channels, but I do find it extremely baffling that so many people do... Then again, a recent survey in America showed that a little over 50% of our population still believes evolution is some kind of hoax, so I guess it isn't that surprising.

  • They should make a show in which celebrities' children compete in ballroom dancing competitions to see which one gets to date Bret Michaels. I think I'm really on to something, that is, if this show doesn't already exist.

Edit: The parents of the winning child will get to have sex with Tila Tequila

That would be nice, huh? I guess the closest we have to that is MHD, they replay a lot of storytellers episodes, and unplugged episodes, and some other taped performances. Lately they've been showcasing a lot of Isle of Wight festival sets, but it's all pretty repetitive and a lot of the bands/performers they show have been pretty crappy lately. Not too long ago, they had the PJ storytellers performance on.

Maybe one day a channel like that will catch on and get going...

agreed....there still are some really good shows out there but you have to adjust how you watch.....that's why tivo's/dvr's are so great.....and yes the sitcom did die many years ago....even sitcoms that might be funny get destroyed by "setup-punchline" format....
